Pens fund raiser to save sharks
After a summer in Fiji diving with the sharks, Phillip Hicks, a high school student in Santa Barbara, CA decided to help stop the senseless destruction of sharks for consumption. He aligned with WildAid International and felt the best way to assist is to help support a group that is already working to save the sharks. According to WildAid, an estimated 100 million sharks are killed every year with fins, from up to 73 million, used for shark fin soup, primarily to supply the market in Mainland China.
Phillip combined his woodworking and entrepreneurial skills to create SaveTheSharkPens.com which has been selling hand crafted burl wood pens on a national level for two years.100% of sales are donated to WildAid and, to date, he's contributed close to $6000 earmarked for their save the shark public awareness campaigns and government
All pens are individually made and no two are alike. For holiday gifts, graduation gifts, corporate gifts, or just to have a unique pen for your desk, you will be thrilled with the quality and the price. Plus every dollar of every purchase goes to a great cause!
