Nothing to do but tell it like it is ... The Horse Industry is most generous industry there is or ever was.
ACTHA found something special happening in all our backyards. The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), using 7,200 professionally trained instructors in over 850 locations, employing over 8,000 horses and helping over 56,000 children and adults with special challenges annually. In only the way a relationship with a horse could provide. Had it not been for my staff urging me to visit one of the 4 centers near me I, like so many others, would still be in the clouds thinking we're doing pretty good in our charitable giving. But one center visit and anyone would know there's more to be done and can be done.
ACTHA staff vowed we were going to assist these centers raise some money in a way they could easily repeat while dramatically increasing their local visibility. With visibility comes volunteers and the help needed to guarantee another 40 years of help for your community’s most deserving.
The headquarters which is so necessary to galvanize such a large organization, perhaps one of the largest collective nonprofits in the equine industry, would benefit from ACTHA's contributions (20% of each ACTHA member's ride fee goes to charity). And so we called the events the Shamrock PATH since kick off would be March.
We asked some ACTHA sponsors (they do so much for ACTHA and the cause of full equine employment...the key to a return of a growing horse industry). Bingo! First one out of the box: Cavallo Horse and Rider...a $7,500 cash contribution to light the fire. What happened thereafter can only be told by a certain ledger sheet shared with you below. Over $2 million worth of goods and services raised thus far.
ACTHA could not be more humbled by acting as a conduit for everyone's generosity...Not only ACTHA's great sponsors but also those not involved with ACTHA's member assistance programs yet like Purina (already long time PATH Int’l. sponsor), Absorbine, Ken McNabb and many others who have risen to the cause.
At the current time over 150 events have either been booked, completed or are in host training. And we are just under 3 weeks into the Shamrock events. WE WILL HIT 1,000 EVENTS. And a lot of the success is with you, the equine industry.
If you like all your giving going directly to an amazing nonprofit here is one of the best. At a prize budget of $1,000 per ride it will require $10 million in gifts. Every single donation will be put to good use. And you only pay one shipping bill to our distribution center! We got it from there.
Please consider anything...dead inventory, agree to forward our CENTERS promotions to your data base, display ads and editorials ...
