9 Points for Clearing Blocked Energy
Lynda works on establishing a connection with the horse before she begins her energy work
I cannot imagine anyone who has connected with a horse, and not been forever touched by the pure, magnificent spirit of their being. Horses are mirrors of ourselves. They often willingly take on our issues and troubles while being of service to us, their human partners, and then are stuck with these things with no way to release them. This can lead to behavior issues and undesirable patterns. In other cases, they have been victims of abuse or neglect and hold negative emotions and patterns as a result of the abuse.
CLEARING BLOCKED ENERGY
Integrated Energy Healing (IET) is a healing technique that clears and balances the energy field. With light touch, suppressed emotions that block the natural flow of energy are released. It works on clearing away any negative emotions and patterns so spirit can flow freely ─ allowing us to regain that soul-to-soul connection with our beloved equine friends and partners.
During an IET session, I lightly touch the area, energizing the cellular memory for each particular emotion, invite the release, do a series of pullouts, and then bring in another opposite, positive emotion in its place. This is what I love about IET. We don’t just remove the negative, we bring in something very beautiful and positive.
The 9 points in the body that I work on with IET are the same for animals and people:
1. Top of the head
A blockage here is typically caused by guilt empathetically taken on from the human the horse serves, or is partnered with. After the guilt is removed, we bring in innocence.
2. Forehead
Typical blocks here are caused by living with or being around humans who mean to harm them, serving humans who do not try to understand the horse’s guidance, or distrust empathetically taken on from humans. After distrust is removed, trust is brought in.
3. Throat and lungs
Blocks here are usually caused by taking the emotion on from its humans, or living under conditions where he cannot express his true spirit. After shame is released, spiritual pride and self-worth are brought in.
4. Back of neck and throat
This is typically caused by horses living under conditions where the horse feels he is being threatened or attacked. And as we all know, they are fight or flight creatures, and I find this area to be very heavy in many horses. At the back of the neck, I release threat, and bring in support.
5. Shoulders
Typical blocks here are caused by living in abusive situations or living without purpose or empathetically taking this on from their humans. Once the shoulders are released, freedom is brought in. How wonderful!
6. Heart
Abandonment, separation or loss can all cause heartache in our equine friends. Of course they feel loss and heartache when they are sold, moved, a foal is separated from its mother too soon, or a member of the herd dies. After I work on releasing the heartache and betrayal, I bring in love, which allows the horse’s heart to be open to easily expressing its love into the world, as well as receiving it.
7. Spleen
On the left side, which is where resentment is held, and the liver and gallbladder on the right side, where anger is held. Resentment and anger hold many of us back and keep us sick and stuck, as is the case with our horses. Once resentment and anger are released, forgiveness is brought in.
8. Stomach
This is where stress and powerlessness are held. Typical causes for blockages here with a horse are related to carrying too much physical or emotional weight, a feeling of danger from which there appears to be no escape, or taking it on empathetically from the humans. Once stress and powerlessness are released, ease is brought in, and what a profound change ease can bring about.
9. Kidneys
Blockages here for the horse often involve fear that is imprinted when extreme danger is present and/or the horse feels trapped. When we understand the nature of the horse, and its instinct to flee in the presence of danger, it is easy to understand how many can have fear imprinted into the cellular memory of their kidneys. Once fear is released, safety is brought in, and the horse can find a sense of peace again.
I haven’t found an animal or person yet that IET hasn’t helped in some way. If you’re unfamiliar with IET, or just curious about it for either your animal or yourself, I encourage you to schedule a session. We all deserve an hour just for ourselves occasionally, as do our beloved pets. We are their whole world, in most cases. They wait for us to come home, to feed them, to take them places, to dote on them, etc. Isn’t it time to give them something wonderful and soothing in return?
“Horses are very spiritual creatures. They are a balance of both masculine and feminine energy, for they are the incarnation of pure spirit in a physical form. The horse’s spirit is their gift to us, their soul reminds us of our soul.”

The energy points (1 &2) on the horses head represent the areas of guilt and distrust. After energizing the cellular memory for each particular emotion, positive emotions are replaced.
