Chart of acupressure points for calming
Foals are tender souls. They are sweet, innocent creatures whose speed of growth is magnificent. When it’s time to introduce your foal to hoof trimming, saddles, and the like in our domesticated world, a short acupressure session for calming just before introducing him to a new procedure would add “a bit of sugar to help the medicine go down.”
These acupressure points are bilateral; remember to apply gentle pressure using the soft tips of your thumbs at a 45-90 degree angle to the body on both sides of the horse.
