HorseMareship applies respect as the mutual language between horse and human using Four Core Emotional Concerns (FCEC) that women and horses share. The needs and nature of a horse can be balanced with a woman’s needs and nature safely using techniques, as taught by Missy Wryn in her Training the Whole Horse™ series that invoke the horse's natural instinct to recognize the woman as their herd leader all without using fear, pain or round penning.
Missy Wryn launches the new web Forum and website www.HorseMareship.com , specially designed for women and horse loving girls. “As women we have natural gifts of gentleness, nurturing and compassion. We often get mixed messages from well meaning people and trainers telling us we're too soft or mushy. We even get chastised for cooing and loving on our horses. A client once told me that her barn manager went so far as to say “stop kissing your horse, he won’t respect you”. That’s nonsense! Affection has nothing to do with respect and affection, like stroking the neck of your horse, actually accelerates learning. Respect and a safer relationship comes down to you being the herd leader your horse is genetically wired to require at all times, even in your herd of two, you and your horse”, Missy explains.
HorseMareship applies respect as the mutual language between horse and human using Four Core Emotional Concerns (FCEC) that women and horses share. The needs and nature of a horse can be balanced with a woman’s needs and nature safely using techniques, as taught by Missy Wryn in her Training the Whole Horse™ series, that invoke the horse's natural instinct to recognize the woman as their herd leader all without using fear, pain or round penning. “Consider that when we are working with our horses we are teaching them how to speak another language, ours”, Missy goes on. “If we were teaching a person from another country how to speak English would we hit or beat that person for getting the wrong answer? Would we use force or painful techniques to teach that person another language? Of course not, so why is it acceptable to do that to a horse? It's NOT acceptable in horse training, not anymore. Never do I use pain or fear - never do I force the right answer - it's against my nature as a woman to use such tactics AND just because a horse is a big animal doesn't mean you have to use force or pain for them to learn. I have found just the opposite without compromising my position as the herd leader”.
