Announcement of Discipline Tests, Scoring, Rules and Information
After months of consultation and discussion, RRP has published the formats for the ten Makeover disciplines, how they will be scored, and what rules will be followed. With 350 competitors and $100,000 in prize money on the line, the process was not easy. This is not a horse show. It is more like a final exam. The goal is to make unwanted horses wanted, to add value, and to present to the public (and potential buyers) horses of high quality that have received high quality training. We borrowed from the rules of the various disciplines and adapted them to serve our mission. We are listening to competitors, making amendments where needed, and considering what we know about the horses entered as we enter the course design phase. We are doing our best to make this the most horse-friendly, competitor-friendly event ever. Tell us what you think.
