Energy healing is an ancient art that has been passed down through thousands of generations and cultures. Absolutely everything in the Universe is comprised of energy. Tuning in energetically, we can explore different aspects of our horses’ problems that may not be obvious with conventional methods. Here are some that I come across:
Horse’s History
An obvious one that standard methods would consider; however, there may be parts of our horse’s history that we are not aware of that can come to light when tuning into them energetically. Horses may hold on to trauma from events in their lives such as abuse, mistreatment, weaning trauma, and a common one, trauma from being ‘broken in.’ Horses are generally masters at moving energy, but sometimes if they have overwhelming trauma, they may not be able to work on this themselves. During energy healing sessions we can tune into any trauma energy that may need to be cleared and help horses live happier healthier lives.
Other Horses
We all have an energetic field or ‘aura’ that surrounds us. Within your field may be beneficial energy or non-beneficial energy, depending on your life circumstances, history, state of mind, who you spend time with, etc. The same goes for our horses. The energy of other horses can influence your horse. If you keep your horse in a yard/barn you may have noticed when a new horse arrives things may get stirred up for a little while, as they have brought new energy, be it beneficial or non-beneficial, and things need time to settle. If your horse is spending lots of time with other horses, the energy field of those horses may ‘rub off' on them. Therefore, it is important for a horse to be healthy with a strong energetic field, so they do not absorb these energies. Unfortunately, in the case of horses who have been abused or mistreated, they may have past trauma affecting their field, contributing to them being ‘sensitive’ to energies around them. Clearing the past trauma can help strengthen a horse’s energetic field, and live a low-stress life with their physical and emotional needs met.
Environment
Here we are talking about the energetic environment, and something not known to many is Geopathic Stress. There are various kinds, but in general, these are underground earth energies that have become distorted in some way and are potentially radiating harmful rays to the areas above.
These energies can wear down your energetic/auric field, which can affect the way your immune system operates. Most healthy people and animals can cope with negative energies, but the natural stresses of life can make you more susceptible to these noxious energies. They can also have a particularly profound effect if you are spending a lot of time directly above them; for example, in a stable or feeding location in the case of horses. It may not be obvious that something is wrong until after a year or two as the effects can be slow to take hold. It is important to note that Geopathic Stress does not cause certain conditions in horses but can contribute to making them worse. I have seen a horse with recurring laminitis in a stable where geopathic stress lines cross, these will no doubt be exacerbating the condition, giving the horse more toxins to deal with. I have personally experienced the effects of geopathic stress on myself and my horses, and therefore have experience in clearing it.
People – past and present
Energy cords are invisible lines of energy connecting us with a variety of things including people, animals, or places, for example. There can be beneficial energies flowing through these cords, helping us feel vibrant and alive, or non-beneficial energies draining and weakening us. Energy can flow through these cords and can be strong or weak depending on how active that person or animal is in your life. Distance is irrelevant, as the cord can be felt however far away you are. It is possible therefore for horses to be corded energetically to people who are currently in their lives or from their past. This means they could be taking on non-beneficial energies which could be affecting their health, or even causing them to take on characteristics of that person. From personal experience, I can feel when I am corded to someone, and if that person does not have a clear energy field it can feel extremely debilitating. I have worked with horses where we release cords from old owners or trainers, they have been apart for many years.
Non-beneficial entities
“My horse is possessed” – whilst sometimes said in jest, this can sometimes very well be the case. Nonbeneficial entities are types of spirit/energy beings that can affect the physical body or the energy field/aura, potentially causing various problems. A horse behaving out of character, suddenly spooking or bucking, could be reacting to an entity attaching to them.
I recently had a situation where one of my mares was attacked by many entities. Sarafina was completely not herself at all; acting bargy, anxious, and would not let me near her (this is sometimes for the safety of the person, they do not want you to pick up the entities). I began clearing and releasing several entities. One by one she became calmer, and each time I released one she came over and touched my hand with her nose (that is our little communication signal). Just like that, she was back to her normal self, a little bewildered by the experience. Entities are nothing to fear and can be easily cleared.
We all have the ability to heal and thrive given the right conditions. Looking holistically at energetic components of our horse’s life (as well as our own – we are all connected!) is an important factor to allow healing to take place, as well as helping maintain physical and emotional well-being. Sometimes horses and their humans, need extra support, and energy healing sessions can be highly beneficial to help return to balance.
