Does anyone have any experience with garlic as a mosquito repellent and/or larvae killer?
I was at the tack store a few days ago and found a product that contains garlic oil, citric acid, corn cob grit and soy oil. The product is in granule form and it is supposed to kill mosquito larvae in water and repel mosquitos if used on the ground. Needless to say I bought some to try. I have a small pond in my garden with stagnant water that I put some in and will see if it works. Sure does smell garlicky!

Hi Kim,
Don't know much about using garlic as a mosquito repellent, but do know that orange oil works like a charm in standing water. I used a couple of drops (at the first season) in a large trough that I'm not using now for the horses, and to date there are no larvae.
