Homeopathic visual of a horse needing Colocynthis
Keynotes: Abdominal colic, griping in the epigastrium, cramps in the stomach; pain relieved by bending double and pressing hard objects into the abdomen to get relief. USES For the Horse:
This is one of the main remedies for the relief of spasmodic colic in the horse. It is indicated in those forms which are accomplished by sudden onset with signs of severe pain and in the presence of a yellowish spotty stool the horse attempts to obtain relief by rolling and arching of the back. Relief is also obtained by movement while aggravation occurs after eating or drinking. It should be considered in any condition which progress produces the characteristics symptom – relief from arching of the back.
