Ottawa, Ontario: Laura Kelland-May of EquineBusinessBuilder.com, Podcasts for
Equestrians, invited Dr. Allen Schoen, Holistic Veterinarian and Author into the virtual studio to discuss his new venture and co-authorship of his new book “The Compassionate Equestrian”. The interview focuses on how equine entrepreneurs can improve their businesses and their relationships by being more aware of themselves and of their equine partners.
People who are in business and in particular a horse related business have many challenges ahead of them. When asked what the number one thing holding people back from doing what they want to do, Dr. Schoen says “busy mind traffic” is a culprit. He says, “These days, it seems there are endless ways that one can so easily become distracted. I sense that distraction from ones passion keeps everyone so busy. I call it “busy mind traffic”. I would say that quieting the mind and heart is the key thing that holds people back from what they want to do.
In addition to guiding people through some business challenges, Dr. Schoen is co-author, with Susan Gordon (interview to follow shortly) of The Compassionate Equestrian where he and co-author outline and describe “25 Principles to Live by When Caring for and Working with Horses”.
