THE LANGUAGE OF HORSEMANSHIP released by Western Horseman Books
To train a horse, you must be able to create a means of communication, and decide what kind of “language” is most effective, allowing you, as the rider, and your horse to converse freely back and forth.
Renowned horseman Dick Pieper has devoted a lifetime to mastering the art and language of horsemanship. Known for his ability to keep things simple and easy to understand, Pieper shares his knowledge in his new book, THE LANGUAGE OF HORSEMANSHIP.
“My entire purpose in writing this book has been to utilize the basics to increase your knowledge in such a way that the door swings open for you to train your horse with understanding and empathy,” Pieper said.
“Horses by nature want to get along and want to please, but when people treat their horses like pieces of machinery, they people lose so much. To develop a successful partnership, the rider and horse must converse freely back and forth in a ‘language’ that is easily understood.”
Pieper's clear and concise methods enable riders to learn to speak "horse" and improve all aspects of their horsemanship by understanding equine culture and characteristics.
“I didn’t just write about Dick’s program, I used it,” said Cheryl Magoteaux Cody who co-wrote THE LANGUAGE OF HORSEMANSHIP with Pieper. “For the first time ever, when I worked with Dick, the pieces fit together for me. He gave me something precious with horses that I hope comes to every reader of this book.”
The book is now available for purchase online at www.pieperranch.com/shop, along with Pieper’s DVD training series.
