Mooresville, NC (May 2020) Help-A-Horse Help-A-Life is a Stacey Small inspired grants program. The goal of this program is to encourage veterinary students through financial support, to educate themselves in the fields of alternative medicine and specifically on the value
of herbs and how herbs can be an important health contributor to the lives of animals. Expanding one’s knowledge of herbs, where they come from, how they are cultivated, the different strains, toxicity, medicinal value, uses, dosage, contraindications and the importance of how this knowledge can and should complement traditional medicine and therapies drove Stacey’s passion.
After being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, Stacey never wavered in her commitment to further learn as well as educate others of the value of herbs and how their value can and should be integrated with traditional therapies and truly believed that this integration helped not only lengthen her life expectancy after the cancer diagnosis, but influenced the quality of her life as well.
Stacey’s interest in herbs and her vast knowledge of them started decades earlier evidenced by her life-long commitment to our four-legged friends through brand creations including Sore No-More, Equilite Herbals, Botanical Animal Flower Essences, and Limber Up topical liniments and shampoos. By encouraging the adoption and inclusion of the science of herbs into the field of veterinary medicine, the end result for our four-legged friends to improved health, will in-of-itself, be a better journey, and in most cases produce better and more favorable outcomes.
