As the author and illustrator of popular horse books (Horse Gaits, Balance and Movement, Grooming to Win, Horsemanship in Pictures, and the U.S. Pony Club Manuals), Susan's study of equine and human anatomy and biomechanics, her experience in horsemanship, and her artist’s eye give her a unique perspective on how horses and riders move and perform.
Susan is an international clinician, equestrian educator, author and artist. She has taught, trained, competed and judged in many equestrian disciplines, and teaches clinics around the world in Anatomy in Motion™, Centered Riding®, Biomechanics, Centered Jumping, and Dressage for all breeds and disciplines, and was honored as a Master Instructor by the American Riding Instructor Association. Her original Visible Horse™ presentation, in which she paints the skeleton and muscles on a live horse, has been a popular demonstration at equine expos, clinics and events in many countries.
