Come join us for a "fireside chat" with two women who have the combined history of wild horses in the US of more than 80 years. Learn the history as told through the real life experiences of equine behavioral ecologist and range biologist Mary Ann Simonds, who conducted some of the initial studies on wild horses pre and post the passing of the Act which protects them and Karen Sussman, President of the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros, the oldest wild horse organization in the world and the organization of Wild Horse Annie who is credited with passing the protection act.
Both women served on the 1990 Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board, a federally appointed board which makes recommendations to Congress.
This is the first of a series on "Wild Horse Chats"-documenting the history and the future"
